Baby Snug by mamas and papas
Recently the Bumbo was recalled due to children escaping the seat an in turn injuring themselves. This recall happened just as Makenna was learning to hold her head up. I was so excited I couldn't wait to go out and purchase this seat so she could finally work on her posture sitting up. I was so disappointed when I resized they were removed from all shelves.
That is when I came across this seat by mamas and papas. This is a brand founded by a woman in the UK in 1981. I actually sat Makenna in this seat before purchasing it and I just fell in love. Not only did she look so cute sitting in it like a big girl but it gave her so much support.
This seat has a removable cushion in your color choice for infant seating. And then when your child is ready around 12 months or so it can be used as a booster seat.
I do have to say that this seat does not have a seat belt strap but I wont be leaving my baby girl unattended just for extra safety.
I purchased this seat for $59.99 which I know is more than the Bumbo but it comes with the tray you do not have to buy it separately. I have never owned a Bumbo but I have very many close friends that have them and I would recommend the Baby Snug overall. We love it!!!

DIY: headband display
What you will need:
1 oatmeal can or 1 paper towel roll
Fabric of your choice
Hot glue gun
Ribbon (optional)
I used to store Makenna's headbands in a box on her dresser but they would always get mixed up and I would never use the ones at the bottom of the box and the flowers or bows would get all messed up. So I started searching online and found a display very similar to this one, so I just decided to create it myself for literally under $5.
All you do is wrap the fabric around your oatmeal can or paper towel roll, hot glue in on the sides and on the tip and bottom to secure it in place. I also added ribbon to the top rim and bottom rim of the display which is an optional step.
Then ta da.... Simple and Beautiful headband display!
Holds about 8-15 headbands depending on the sizes
Happy creating!
